BY THE PRESIDENT Of THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 1000 DECLARING RASA ISLAND LOCATED IN BARANGAY PANACAN, MUNICIPA:'ITY OF NARRA, PROVINCE OF PALAWAN AS PROTECTED AREA PURSUANT TO RA 7586 OR THE NIPAS ACT OF 1992 AND SHALL BE KNOWN AS RASA ISLAND WILDLIFE SANCTUARY Upon recommendation of the Secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, and by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines do hereby set aside and declare Rasa Island located in Barangay Panacan, Municipality of Narra, Province of Palawan as Protected Area and shall be known as Rasa Island Wildlife Sanctuary subject to private rights, and without prejudice to the rights of indigenous peoples as provided for in RA 8371, DENR Administrative Order No. 93-02'dnd other related rules and regulations, if any there be, as"" described in DENR NIPAS Map No. R-4B-8.
