MALACANANG Manila BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO.1032-A

AMENDING PROCLAMATION NO. 1032 DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM DECEMBER 11 TO 14, 2006, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAYS IN THE CITIES OF CEBU, MANDAUE AND LAPU-LAPU

WHEREAS, the Cities of Cebu, Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu will host the ASEAN Summit on Lt lo 14 December 206;

WHEREAS, Proclaination No, 1032 was issued on 10 March 2006 declaring the period 11 to 14 December 2006 as special (non-working) days in the Cities of Cebu, Mandaue and Lapu-Lapi,

WHEREAS, there is a need to exempt the business and private sectors so as not to unduly hamper their continued operations during the four-day holiday.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R, ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORTA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare the following amendments to Proclamation Na, 1032:

1. The special (non-working) days from December 11 ta 14, 2006 shall apply only to governinent employees at all levels in the Cities of Cebu, Mandaue and Lapu: Lapu, except those required to rencler emergency, security, export transactions services, services related to aforementioned as the agency concerned may deterrnine, and the skeleton workforce that every agency may opt to maintain during “his period,

2. Classes at all levels in both public and private schools are suspended for the duration of the four-day holiday,

3, The private sector is exempted fram Proclamation Ne. 1032.
