BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 1049

DECLARING WEDNESDAY, 29 OCTOBER 2025, A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF MATI, PROVINCE OF DAVAO ORIENTAL

WHEREAS, the City of Mati, Province of Davao Oriental celebrates the Sambuokan Festival every last weekend of October in commemoration of its date of establishment as a municipality before eventually becoming a city;

WHEREAS, on 29 October 2025, Wednesday, the City of Mati, Province of Davao Oriental will mark the celebration of the Sambuokan Festival;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Mati be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration;

NOW, THEREFORE, |, LUCAS P. BERSAMIN, Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, FERDINAND R. MARCOS, JR., do hereby declare Wednesday, 29 October 2025, a special (non-working) day in the City of Malti, Province of Davao Oriental.
