)1.X)1~~~ MALACANANG Ma'nila BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO.1O60 DECLARING SATURDAY, JUNE 24, 2006, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF MANILA WHEREAS, every year the City of Manila celebrates June 24 as ':4raw ng Maynlla"in commemoration of the founding of the City as the premier Christian City of Asia; WHEREAS, Saturday, June 24, 2006, marks the 43Sth Foundation Day anniversary of the City of Manila; WHEREAS, the residents of Manila, conscious of the historical and cultural significance of the event, desire to celebrate the same with appropriateceremonies. NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL~ARROYO, do hereby declare Saturday, June 24, 2006, as special (non-working) day in the City of Manila.
