DECLARING MONDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2001, AS A SPECIAL NON-WORKING DAY IN THE CITY OF KORONADAL, SOUTH COTABATO

WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 8803 dated August 16, 2000, provides for the conversion of the Municipality of Koronadal into a component city to be known as the City of Koronadal and was ratified on October 8, 2000;

WHEREAS, Monday, October 8, 2001, marks the 1 Charter Anniversary of the City of Koronadal;

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the people of the City of Koronadal be given full opportunity to celebrate this milestone in their city’s history with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me in Book I, Chapter 7, Section 27, of the Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare Monday, October 8, 2001, as a special non-working day in the City of Koronadal. .
