MALAC,A]$AN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESTDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCTAMATTON NO.lS DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM FEBRUARY zrt zottro FEBRUARY 21,2OL2 AS CENTENNIAL OF PHILIPPINE AVIATION WHEREAS, the Aviation Society of the Philippines is a non-stock, non-profit organization formally organized in July t, zOOg whose Vision is to bringback Aviation in the Philippines to its formal'status as number one in SoutheastAsia, as well as in Asia in the 60s; WHEREAS, the Aviation Society of the Philippines will work towards thisMission by integrating all Sectors of Aviation: Cbmmercial, Military, GeneralAviation, Sports and Hobbyists and the Academe and instill'a s11;;6 sense ofAwareness in the History of Aviation in the philippines; WHEREAS, there is a need to constantly meet all these sectors ofAviation, as well as its sub-sectors, organizations and associations, to discussissues and concerns in order to find solutions that will hasten AviationDevelopment in forms of reforms or legislation of laws, and work together withGovernment Institutions and private Enterprise; WHEREAS, the Aviation Society of the Philippines will also be a primary Instrument in educating the citizens and raise consciousness in the youth aboutAviation and its potentials; WHEREAS, the Aviation Sociefi has just been given Certification of theCentenniat of the First Fixed Wing Flight in the Philippines for Februa ry ZL, Z1LLby the National Historical Commission of the Philippines, and that this Event in1911 can be considered the start of Aviation in the philippines; NoW THEREF0RE, [, BENIGNO s.
