PROCLAMATION NO. 116

DECLARING NOVEMBER 11, 2001, AND EVERY YEAR THEREAFTER AS A SPECIAL WORKING HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF PANGASINAN

WHEREAS, the late Ambassador Narciso Rueca Ramos was an illustrious son of Pangasinan who served his country and people in a manner worthy of emulation by every Pangasinense;

WHEREAS, November 11 marks the birth anniversary of the late Narciso Ramos;

WHEREAS, it is fitting that the people of Pangasinan be given the opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me in Book I, Chapter 7, Section 27 of the Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare November 11, 2001, and every year thereafter as a special working holiday in the Province of Pangasinan.
