MALACANANG , Mnil BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 1162 DECLARING WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2006 AS "EUGENIO DAZA DAY" IN THE PROVINCE OF EASTERN SAMA~ WHEREAS, Wednesday, November 15, 2006, marks the 136th birth anniversary or the late revolutionary hero Eugnio S. Dazai WHEREAS, Eugenio S. Daza rendered invaluable service to our country and to the Filipino people as educator, revolutionary leader, and member of the First Philippine Assembly in 1907; WHEREAS, f\1ajor Eugenio S. Daza was the overall Commander of the Revolutionary Forces in the east coast of Samar dUring the 1896 Philippine Revolution and the one who planned the attack that led to the victory of the Revolutionary Forces in the famous "Balangiga Massacre Encounter" on September 28, 1901; WHEREAS, ir1 line with "The Decade of Nationalismf Nationhood. and the Philippine Revolutiona ty Movementflf it is fitting and proper to honor and emulate the heroism and patriotism of Major Eugenio S.
