PROCLAMATION NO. 1196

DECLARING FRIDAY, 27 MARCH 2026, A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BALANGIGA, PROVINCE OF EASTERN SAMAR

WHEREAS, the Municipality of Balangiga, Province of Eastern Samar will mark the celebration of its Founding Anniversary on 03 April 2026, which falls on Good Friday;

WHEREAS, to enable the people of the Municipality of Balangiga to fully participate in the occasion, the Office of the Mayor requested that 27 March 2026, Friday, be declared as a special (non-working) day in lieu of 03 April 2026;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Balangiga be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, RALPH G. RECTO, Acting Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, FERDINAND R. MARCOS, JR., do hereby declare Friday, 27 March 2026, a special (non-working) day in the Municipality of Balangiga, Province of Eastern Samar.
