BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 1220

DECLARING MONDAY, 20 SEPTEMBER 2021, A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) . DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF DINGRAS, PROVINCE OF ILOCOS NORTE ~

WHEREAS, Josefa Llanes Escoda, a World War II heroine and the founder of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines, was born on 20 September 1898 in Dingras, Ilocos Norte;

WHEREAS, on 20 September 2021, Monday, the Municipality of Dingras, Province of Ilocos Norte, will mark the celebration of the birth anniversary of Josefa Llanes Escoda; and

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Dingras be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies, subject to community quarantine, social distancing, and other public health measures;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, SALVADOR C. MEDIALDEA, Executive Secretary, -by authority of the President, RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE, do hereby declare Monday, 20 September 2021, a special (non-working) day in the Municipality of Dingras, Province of Ilocos Norte.
