AMENDING PROCLAMATION NO, 144 AS AMENDED BY PROCLAMATION NOS, 391 AND. 1027,.SERIES OF 2003 AND 2006, BY SEGREGATING 2000 SQUARE METERS, MORE OR LESS, FROM THE PORTION OF THE

~ LOT COVERED BY TRANSFER CERTIFICATE OF TITLE 6735, SITUATED IN BALAGBAG AREA 1, BARANGAY 201, PASAY CITY, AND ALLOCATING IT AS THE AREA FOR THE MEDIUM RISE HOUSING INTENDED FOR THE RELOCATION OF BENEFICIARIES FROM PAL GATE 1, ALSO A MIAA PROPERTY LOCATED IN ANDREW AVENUE, BARANGAY 184, PASAY CITY

WHEREAS, Proclamation No. 144, dated January 18, 2002, e5 amended by Proclamation No. 391 and 1027, dated May 28, 2003 and March 6, 2006, respectively, was issueG Dursuant to Republic Act (RA) No, 727%, also known as the Urban Development and Housing Act of 1992, declaring among others, the Balagbeg Area 1 as a socialized housing area for disposition to qualified

WHEREAS, Procamation No. 391, transferred the administration of the area to the National Housing Authority (NHA) in coordination with the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA)-

WHEREAS, Proclamation No, 1027 Identified ana defined in detail the

commercial strips in Balagbeg Area 1 and 2, Pildera 2 and 2, that were retained by MIAA;

WHEREAS, MIAA has the Intention to clear the PAL Gate 1 Area, one of

Its properties also In Pasay City, from its present occupants of informal settlers, to utilize the area to support MIAA operations-and other airgort related activities;

WHEREAS, MIAA has identified a portion of the Balagbag Ares 1 MRH site, Dased on the development framework plan of NHA for Balacbag 1, as the in-city rejocation site of the residents of PAL Gate 1 to prevent social and economic displacement of the beneficiaries;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested In mé by law, do hereby amend Proclamation No. 144 dated January 18, 2002, as amended by Prociamation No. 391 and 1027, dated 28 May 2003 and March 6, 2006, respectively, and hereby declare that:

i. An area of 2000 square meters, more or less, subject to final survey, be segregated from the portion of the lot covered by Transfer Certificate of Title 6735, situated in Balagbag Area 1, Barangay 201, Pasay Gity, and that it be allocated es site for the Medium Rise Housing intended for the relocation of beneficiaries fram PAL Gate 1 in Barangay 184, Pasay City;

2. The City Government of Pasay, in cooperation with the Office of the Representative of the Lone District of Pasay, and other concerned government entities, shall provide technical, financial and personnel resources |n the clearing of the site from present occupants, construction of the medium-rise buildings and site development of the area; and

3, The atez be acquired by the qualified residents through their duly recognized Homeowners Associstion using the Community Mortgage Program of the government.
