PROCLAMATION NO. 1230

DECLARING FRIDAY, 26 FEBRUARY 2016, AS A SPECIAL (NON- WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF GENERAL SANTOS

WHEREAS, Saturday, 27 February 2016, marks the 77" Foundation Anniversary and the Kalilangan Festival of the City of General Santos;

WHEREAS, to enable the people of the City of General Santos to celebrate the occasion, the Sangguniang Panlungsod requested that Friday, 26 February 2016 be declared as a special (non-working) day instead of 27 February 2016, which falls on a Saturday;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of General Santos be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, |, PAQUITO N. OCHOA, JR., Executive Secretary, by authority of His Excellency, BENIGNO S. AQUINO III, do hereby declare Friday, 26 February 2016, as a special (non-working) day in the City of General Santos.
