BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO1234

DECLARING THURSDAY, 17 MARCH 2016, AS A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF DAVAO

WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 7685 declares March 16 of every year as a special non-working holiday in the City of Davao to be known as “Araw ng Dabaw;”

WHEREAS, on Thursday, 17 March 2016, the City of Davao marks the celebration of its “Araw ng Pasasalamat,”

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Davao be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies. :

NOW, THEREFORE, I, PAQUITO N. OCHOA, JR., Executive Secretary, by

authority of His Excellency, BENIGNO S. AQUINO III, do hereby declare Thursday, 47 March 2016, as a special (non-working) day in the City of Davao.
