BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 1238

DECLARING 06 - 08 MAY 2026 AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAYS IN THE CITY OF LAPU-LAPU AND THE MUNICIPALITY OF CORDOVA, PROVINCE OF CEBU

WHEREAS, the 48" ASEAN Summit and Related Meetings will be held in Cebu, Philippines;

WHEREAS, Mactan Island in Cebu consisting of the City of Lapu-Lapu and the Municipality of Cordova, Province of Cebu, will host the 48" ASEAN delegates;

WHEREAS, in order to alleviate traffic and to allow the host country to secure the safety of participants in the said event, it is necessary to declare 06-08 May 2026

as special (non-working) days in the City of Lapu-Lapu and the Municipality of Cordova, Province of Cebu.

NOW, THEREFORE, |, RALPH G. RECTO, Acting Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, FERDINAND R,. MARCOS, JR., do hereby declare 06 — 08 May 2026, as special (non-working) days in the City of Lapu-Lapu and the Municipality of Cordova, Province of Cebu.
