BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 1239

AMENDING PROCLAMATION NO. 1238, S. 2026, BY DECLARING 06 - 08 MAY 2026 AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAYS IN THE CITY OF CEBU, CITY OF MANDAUE, CITY OF LAPU-LAPU AND THE MUNICIPALITY OF CORDOVA, PROVINCE OF CEBU

WHEREAS, the 48° ASEAN Summit and Related Meetings will be held in Cebu, Philippines;

WHEREAS, Proclamation No. 1238, s. 2026 declared 06-08 May 2026, as

special (non-working) days in the City of Lapu-Lapu and the Municipality of Cordova, Province of Cebu;

WHEREAS, the City of Cebu and the City of Mandaue are likewise identified areas or transport route for ASEAN delegates:

WHEREAS, in order to alleviate traffic and to allow the host country to secure the safety of participants in the said event, it is necessary to declare 06-08 May 2026 as special (non-working) days also in the City of Cebu and in the City of Mandaue.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, RALPH G. RECTO, Acting Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, FERDINAND R. MARCOS, JR., do hereby declare 06 — 08 May 2026, as special (non-working) days in the City of Cebu, City of Mandaue, City of Lapu-Lapu and the Municipality of Cordova, Province of Cebu.
