WHEREAS, the Philippine Institute for Supply Management (PSIM)r is a non-stock, non-profit organization of purchasing and materials managers of the country's ' top, corporations; WHEREASr purchasing and materials managers and PSIM help upgrade the quality a,nd competitiveness of Philippine goods and services for both the domestic and foreign markets; WHEREASr it is desirable that the important role played by the purchasing and materials managers in commerce and industry be brought to th~ . attention of the people; WHEREASr the PSIM will celebrate its 15th National Convention and " Exhibit this year called SUPPL YLINK2007, with the theme "SUPPLY.~ MANAGEMENT TODAY: Towards Relevance & Progress". , NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAl-ARROYO., President of the Repub1ic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from March 18 to 24, 2007 as Purchasing and Supply Chain Management Week.
