MALACAP^AN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION MQ,1269 DECLARING AS OFFICIAL THE 201S POPULATION OF THE PHILIPPINES BY PROVINCE, CITY/MUNICIPALITY, AND BARANGAY, BASED ON THE 201S CENSUS OF POPULATION CONDUCTED BY THE PHILIPPINE STATISTICS AUTHORITY WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 10625, otherwise known as the "Philippine Statistical Act of 2013," provides that the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) shall be primarily responsible for all national censuses and surveys, sectoral statistics, consolidation of the administrative recording system, and compilation of national accounts; WHEREAS, Section 6(b) of RA No. 10625 mandates the PSA to prepare and conduct periodic censuses on population, housing, agriculture, fisheries, business, industry, and other sectors of the economy; WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 8 of Batas Pambansa Big. 72, the final population counts as determined from processed census returns shall be considered official for all purposes only upon proclamation by the President; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 1031 (s. 2015), a census of population was conducted by the PSA in August 2015. NOW, THEREFORE I, BENIGNO S. AQUINO HI. President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare as official for all purposes the results of the 2015 Census of Population, as shown in the "2015 Census of Population by Province, City, Municipality, and Barangay" attached as ANNEX A and made an integral part hereof, IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
