MALACANANG MANn.A BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. -~ DECLARING MONDAY, 14 MAY 2007, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC (NON- WORKING) HOLIDAY THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY WHEREAS, the national and local elections shall be held on Monday, 14 May 2007; WH EREAS, Monday, 14 May 2007, should be declared a special public (non-working) holiday to give the people the fullest opportunity to exercise their right of suffrage. NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Monday, 14 May 2007, as a special public (non-working) holiday throughout, the country . IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
