BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 1287

DECLARING SATURDAY, MAY 19, 2007 AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN BUTUAN CITY

WHEREAS, Saturday, May 19, 2007, the City of Butuan celebrates Balangay Festival honoring the feast day of its patron saint, St. Joseph;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of

Butuan be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Saturday, May 19, 2007, as special (non-working) day in Butuan City.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, 1 have hereunto set my hand and causéd the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
