DECLARING MTS. PALAY-PALAY MATAAS-NA-GULOD NATIONAL PARK, SITUATED IN THE MUNICIPALITIES OF TERNATE AND MARAGONDON, PROVINCE OF CAVITE, AND MUNICIPALITY OF NASUGBU, PROVINCE OF BATANGAS, AS PROTECTED AREA PURSUANT TO R. A. NO. 7586, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE NIPAS ACT OF 1992, WHICH SHALL BE KNOWN AS MTS. PALAY- PALAY MATAAS-NA-GULOD PROTECTED LANDSCAPE

Upon recommendation of the Secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL — ARROYO, President of the Philippines, do hereby set aside arid declare Mts, Palay-Palay Mataas-Na-Gulod National Park, situated in the Municipalities of Ternate and Maragondon, Province of Cavite, and Municipality of Nasugbu, Province of Batangas, as Protected Area, which shall be known as Mts, Palay-Palay Mataas-Na-Gulod Protected Landscape, subject to private rights and without prejudice to the rights of indigenous peoples as provided for in R, A. No, 8371, DENR Administrative Order No. 93-02, and other related rules and regulations, if any there be, as described in DENR NIPAS Map No, RO4A-8.

the point of beginning containing an area of THREE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED SEVENTY THREE AND 13/100 (3,973.13) hectares subject to actual ground survey and delineation.

The Mts. Palay-Palay Mataas-Na-Gulod Protected Landscape shall be under the administrative jurisdiction of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and shall be managed in accordance with the provisions of the NIPAS Act.

All contracts, permits or licenses for the extraction or utilization of natural resources already existing prior to this Proclamation shall, subject to national interest, be respected until their expiration.
