I!I 33r MALACANANG MANILA PROCLAMATION NO. U2- DECLARING A STATE OF PUBLIC CALAMITY IN TliE PROVINCE OF AGUSAN DEL SUR AND 1 N THE CITY OF BUTUAN I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do herebydeclare, upon the recommendation of the Chairman, National Disaster Coordinating Counc.il, a state of public calamity in the Province of Agusan del Sur and in the City of Butuan which have been severely affected by torrential rains and heavy flooding. I also hereby authorize the release from the cala111ity fund the amount of Three Million Pesos (P3,OOO,OOO.OO) for the Province of Agusan del Sur and One Million Pesos (Pl,OOO,OOO.OO) for the city of Butuan, to support the on-going disast:er operations being undertaken by their respective Provincial and city Disaster Coordinating 'councils.
