Proclamation No. 135

GIVING PUBLIC NOTICE OF THE APPROVAL BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF NATIONAL ASSEMBLY ACT NO. 1535, NOW KNOWN AS COMMONWEALTH ACT NO. 232.

In accordance with the provisions of section three of the Act of the National Assembly Numbered One thousand five hundred thirty-five, entitled "An Act amending further section fourteen of the Philippine Tariff Act of nineteen hundred and nine, as amended, so as to exempt natural rock asphalt from the payment of wharfage charges." I, Manuel L. Quezon, President of the Philippines, do hereby give public notice of the approval by the President of the United States on March ninth, nineteen hundred and thirty-seven, of said Act as provided in section two, subsection (a), paragraph nine, of the Act of Congress of March twenty-fourth, nineteen hundred and thirty-four.

The National Assembly Act above mentioned becomes Commonwealth Act Numbered Two hundred thirty-two.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Commonwealth of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done at the City of Washington, D. C. (for the City of Manila), this sixth day of April, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and thirty-seven, and of the Commonwealth of the Philippines, the second.
