"""" MALACANANG Manila BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 1363 DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM SEPTEMBER 17 TO 22, 2007 AS "PRINTING INDUSTRY WEEK" WHEREAS,th~ Government recognizes the significant role of the printing industry in the recording, preserving and disseminating of knowledge and information; -' WHEREAS,the continued emergence of cutting edge technologies and the increasing competitiveness of the global printing market is an ever present challenge to the industry; WHEREAS,there is a need to continuallypromote and encourage the competitivenessof our own printingindustryin the face of globalization; WHEREAS,the Printing Industries Association of the Philippines, Inc. will hold its 13thNational Printers Convention on September 17, 18 & 20, 2007, with the theme "GLOBALIZATION: Its Effects & Challenges for the Industry", NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIAMACAPAGAL-ARROYO,President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from September 17 to 22, 2007. as "Printing Industry Week" under the auspices of the Printing Industries Association of the Philippines, Inc.
