MALACANANG Manila BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 1388 DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM NOVEMBER 19 TO 25, 2007 AS "CIVIL ENGINEERING WEEK" WHEREAS,the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Ine. (PICE), will hold its 33rd National Convention on November 22 to 24, 2007 at the Cebu International Convention Center, Cebu City; WHEREAS,there is a need to focus national attention on the importance or the civilengineering proression and highlight its role in nation building. NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIAMACAPAGAL-ARROYO,President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue or the powers vested in me by law: do hereby declare the period rrom November 19 to 25, 2007 as "CivilEngineering Week" under the auspices of the PhilippineInstitute of CivilEngineers, Ine. I call upon all civilengineers and students to give the observance of the week their full support.
