MALACANANG Manila BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 1393 DECLARINGTHE PERIOD FROM OCTOBER 7 TO 14, 2007 AS NATIONAL DANCE SPORT WEEK WHEREAS,the Dance Sport Council of the Philippines, Inc. (DSCPI) is the national sport association duly accredited by the International Olympic Committee; WHEREAS,the DSCPIin its desire to promote and further develop dance sport in the country, is staging the "11th DSCPI National Dance Sport Championship" on October 13, 2007 at the Multi-Purpose Arena, Philsports Complex,Meralco Avenue,PasigCity;and WHEREAS, the events will gather dance sport champions and competitorsallover the countrycompetingin Standard and Latin. NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from October 7 to 14, 2007, as "National Dance Sport Week".
