S PROCLAMATION NO. 143

DECLARING AS CIVIL RESERVATION FOR PUBLIC SCHOOL AND BARANGAY SITE PURPOSES CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN SITUATED JN BARANGAY MARAHAN , GENERAL ROXAS DISTRICT, DAVAO CITY

Upon the recommendation of the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources and pursuant to the powers vested in me by law, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, do hereby set aside as civil reservation for public school and barangay site purposes certain parcels of land in Barangay Marahan, General Roxas District, Davao City, as shown and described in the Bureau of Forest Development Map No. C.R. -— 227, with the following description:

Parcel I (School Site)

Beginning at a point designated as Corner "1" which is located at N.25°00'W., about 2,050 meters from Forest Zone Corner 5, Timberland, Davao Land Classification Project No. 1-W;

Thence, N. B4°30'E., 165 meters to corner 2; Thence, S. 02 °40'E., 558 meters to corner 3: Thence, N. B0°00'W., 215 meters to corner 4; Thence, N. O1-O0'E., 190 meters to corner 5; Thence, N. 18°15'&., 100 meters to point of beginning,

containing an area of SIX (6) HECTARES ,-smpre or less, and Parcel II (Barangay Site)

Beginning at a point designated as Corner "1" which is identical to Corner "1" of Parcel I;

Thence, S. 18°50'w., 100 meters to corner 2; Thence, S. O1-00'W., 190 meters to corner 35; Thence, 5. 54 O0'W., 564 meters to corner 4; Thence, N. 35,00'W., 180 meters to corner 5; Thence, N. 08,00'W., 195 meters to corner 6; Thence, N. 10 00'W., 100 meters to corner 7; Thence, N. 72°00'W., 280 meters to corner 8; Thence, N. 85°S0'E., 647 meters to point of beginning,

1. The administration and Management over the area herein declared as school site reservation (Parcel T) shall be under the control of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports through the local school board in coor— dination with the Barangay Council of Barangay Marahan.

2. %In the parcel therein declared as barangay site reservation, the control and management over this area shall be jointly administered by the Department of Local Government and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources through their respective appropriate agencies.

3. The extraction and utilization of timber and other forest products available in the parcels of land herein declared as reservations shall be governed by existing Forest and Internal Revenue Laws and Regulations.

4. In the evént that these parcels herein declared aS reservation no lonrer serve the purpose for which they were originally established, or their development has been abandoned five (5) vears from the date of approval hereof, this proclamation is automatically withdrawn, revoked or cancelled and the subject parcels of land shal} revert to their former status as part and parcel of the public domain.
