PROCLAMATION NG. 1470

DECLARING MONDAY, MARCH 17, 2008, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN DAVAG CITY

WHEREAS, March 16, 2008 marks the celebration of the “71% Araw ng Dabaw", which falls on a Sunday; -

WHEREAS, to enable the people of the City of Davao celebrate the occasion, the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Davao City requested that Monday,

March 17, 2008 instead of March 16, 2008, be declared as a special (non- working) day;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of Davao City be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, EQUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYG, do hereby declare Monday, March 17, 2008, as special (non-working) day in Davao City.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
