Proclamation No. 148

RESERVING FOR SCHOOL PURPOSES A PARCEL OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN SITUATED IN CANCILAYAN, MUNICIPALITY OF MURCIA, PROVINCE OF NEGROS OCCIDENTAL, ISLAND OF NEGROS.

Upon the recommendation of the Secretary of Agriculture and Commerce and pursuant to the provisions of section eighty-three of Commonwealth Act Numbered One hundred and forty-one, I hereby withdraw from sale or settlement and reserve for school purposes under the administration of the Director of Education, subject to private rights, if any there be, the following-described parcel of the public domain, situated in the barrio of Cancilayan, municipality of Murcia, Province of Negros Occidental, Island of Negros, and particularly described in Bureau of Lands plan Swo-14730, to wit:

Beginning at a point marked "1" on Bureau of Lands plan SWo-14730, S. 81˚ 29’ W. 2,442.12 m., more or less, from B. B. M. No. 38, Murciacadastre, thence N. 13˚ 08’ E. 33.66 m. to point 2; N. 18˚ 26’ E. 17.65 m. to point 3; S. 80˚ 56’ E. 104.64 m. to point 4; S. 20˚ 22’ W. 79.72 m. to point 5; N. 71˚ 04’ W. 38.94 m. to point 6; S. 87˚ 34’ W. 22.37 m. to point 7; N. 89˚ 22’ W. 31.45 m. to point 8; N. 2˚ 11’ E. 21.07 m. to point 9; N. 6˚ 41’ E. 8.69 m. to point 1, point of beginning.

Containing an area of 7.624 square meters.

Points 2, 4, and 9, stakes; point 5, tree.

Bounded on the northeast and southeast, by road; on the south, by lots Nos. 506 and 505; and on the northwest, by lots Nos. 499, 498, 497, and 496.

Bearings true. Declination, 1˚ 40’ E.

Points referred to are marked on Bureau of Lands plan Swo-14730.

Surveyed: April 6, 1914. Approved: February 9, 1937.

Note: – This is lot No. 495 of Murciacadastre, B. L. cadastre No. 43.

All corners not otherwise described are B. L. concrete monuments.

Declared public land, April 1, 1916.
