BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES . PROCLAMATION NO. 151

DECLARING FRIDAY, 17 FEBRUARY 2017, AS A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF BAYAWAN, NEGROS ORIENTAL

WHEREAS, the City of Bayawan will be celebrating the Tawo-Tawo Festival Week on the third week of February;

WHEREAS, the Tawo-Tawo Festival reflects the culture of the City of Bayawan being a ricé granary of the southern part of the Province of Negros Oriental;

WHEREAS, to enable the people of the City of Bayawan celebrate and participate in the occasion, the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Bayawan requested that 17 February 2017 be declared as a special non-working day, in celebration of the Tawo-Tawo Festival.

NOW, THEREFORE, 1, MENARDO |. GUEVARRA, Acting Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE, do hereby declare Friday, 17 February 2017, as a special (non-working) day in the City of Bayawan.
