MEN (03#6 BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 153
DECLARING WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 2002, AS A SPECIAL NON- WORKING DAY IN THE CITY OF PARANAQUE
WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 8507 converting the Municipality of Parafiaque into a highly-urbanized city was signed into law on February 13, 1998;
WHEREAS, Wednesday, February 13, 2002, marks the Fourth Cityhood Anniversary of the City of Parafiaque;
WHEREAS, it is fitting that the people of the City of Parafiaque be given full opportunity to celebrate this milestone in their city’s history with appropriate ceremonies.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me in Book I, Chapter 7, Section 27, of the Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare Wednesday, February 13. 2002, as a special non-working day in the City of Parafiaque.
