BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 1553

DECLARING THURSDAY, JULY 21, 2008 AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF MARINDUOQUE

WHEREAS, Thursday, July 31, 2008, marks the anniversary of the Battle of Paye in the Province of Marinduque;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Province of Marinduque be giver full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies,

NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Thursday, July 31, 2008, as special (non-working) day in the Province of Marinduque,

IN WITNESS WHEREOEF, I have nereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Phitiopines to be affixed.
