BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 1597

DECLARING THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 2008, AS SPECIAL (NON- WORKING) DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MONKAYO, PROVINCE OF COMPOSTELA VALLEY

WHEREAS, Thursday, September 4, 2008, marks the foundation day anniversary of the Municipality of Monkayo, Province of Compostela Valley;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Monkayo, Province of Compostela Valley, be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Exceliency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Thursday, September 4, 2008, as speciai (non-working) day in the Municipality of Monkayo, Province of Compostela Valley.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
