DECLARING OCTOBER, 1987 AS GOVERNMENT PRODUCTIVITY IMPROVEMENT MONTH

WHEREAS, a separate issuance has established the Govern= ment Productivity Improvement Program (GPIP) as a priority undertaking of the Government;

WHEREAS, there is a need to focus attention to the Government Productivity Improvement Program;

WHEREAS, in pursuance of the objectives of the Covernment Productivity Improvement Program, the Second National Conven- tion on Productivity in tha Public Service will be held on

NOW, THEREFORE, £, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare October,1987 as Government Productivity Improve-— ment Month.

Government offices, apencies and corporations are hereby enjoined to participate ia the Second National Convention on Productivity in the Public Service to be held on October 14 and 15, 1987, in accordance with the guidelines thereon.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
