BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 163

DECLARING THURSDAY, MARCH 7, 2002, AS A SPECIAL NON-WORKING , DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF BASILAN

WHEREAS, Thursday, March 7, 2002, marks the 28" Foundation Day anniversary of the Province of Basilan;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Province of Basilan be’ given full opportunity to celebrate this milestone in their province’s history with appropriate ceremony;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me in Book I, Chapter 7, Section 27 of the Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare Thursday, March 7, 2002, as a special non-working day in the Province of Basilan.

IN WITNESS WHEREOPF, | have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
