BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 1643

DECLARING MONDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 2008, AS SPECIAL (NON- WORKING) DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF EASTERN SAMAR

WHEREAS, Sunday, November 9, 2008, marks the 43 Foundation Day anniversary of the Province of Eastern Samar;

WHEREAS, to enable the people of the Province of Eastern Samar, celebrate the occasion, the Office of the Governor requested that Monday, November 10, 2008, be declared as special non-working holiday instead of November 9, 2008, which falls on a Sunday; .

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Province of Eastern Samar be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Monday, November 10, 2008, as special (non-working) day in the Province of Eastern Samar.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
