MALAeANANO' MANILA MFtJ .;.t PI~OCLAMATION NO. .J:...§...9 DECLARING THE THIRD WEEK OF APRIL OF EVERY YEAR AS "EMERGENCY MEDICINE WEEK" WHEREAS, the' Philippine College of Emergency Medicine and Acute Care, Inc. is the only specialty organization in Emergency Medicine recognized by the Philippine Medical Association; WHEREAS, it is desirable that public attention be drawn to the importance of a nationwide emergency medical service system in saving lives and preventing the loss of bodily functions, especially among the critically ill and injured; and WHEREAS, it is imperative to focus attention to this worthy endeavor of the Emergency Medicine and Acute Care, Inc.. public awareness and Philippine College of NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do I hereby declare the Third Week of April of Every Year as "Emergency Medicine Week".
