BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 1664

DECLARING WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2008, AS SPECIAL (NON- WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF MEYCAUAYAN

WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 9356 dated December 10, 2006, provided for the conversion of the Municipality of Meycauayan into a component city to be known as the City of Meycauayan;

WHEREAS, Wednesday, December 10, 2008, marks the Charter Day anniversary of the City of Meycauayan;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Meycauayan, be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremomes.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Wednesday, December 10, 2008, as special (non-working) day in the City of Meycauayan.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
