[ Proclamation No. 1666, August 31, 1977 ]

DECLARING MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 1977, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN GENERAL SANTOS CITY.

WHEREAS, Monday, September 5, 1977, marks the 9th Charter Anniversary of the City of General Santos; and

WHEREAS, the people of the City should be given full opportunity to celebrate this historical event with fitting ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Monday, September 5, 1977, as a special public holiday in General Santos.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 31st day of August, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and seventy-seven.
