BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 17

DECLARING THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 2010, AS SPECIAL (NON- WORKING) DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBAY

WHEREAS, Thursday, September 2, 2010, marks the 145" birth anniversary of the late General Simeon A. Ola, the last revolutionary general to surrender at the end of the Philippine-American War;

WHEREAS, in order to give the people of the Province of Albay, the opportunity to celebrate the occasion, it is but fitting and proper to declare September 2, 2010 as special (non-working) day.

NOW, THEREFORE, !, PAQUITO N. OCHOA JR., Executive Secretary, by authority of His Excellency, BENIGNO S. AQUINO Ill, do héreby declare Thursday, September 2, 2010 as special (non-working) day in the Province of Albay.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, | have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
