BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PRQCLAMATION NO. 1706 DECLARING M6NBAYr JANUARY 19, 2009 AS SPECIAL (NON- WORKING) DAY IN PAGADIAN CIN WHEREAS, the City of Pagadian celebrates its annual fiesta on January 9-19,2009 dubbed as the "Pasalamat Festival 2009"; WHEREAS, the Office of the City Mayor requested that Monday, January 19, 2009 be declared as special (non-working) day in the City of Pagadian; WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Pagadian, be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies. NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Monday, January 19, 2009, as special (non-working) day in Pagadian City.
