Manila BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 1716 DECLARING MONDAY, MARCH 2, 2009, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF LA UNION WHEREAS, March 2, 2009, marks the 159~ Foundation Day anniversary of the Province of La Union; WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the ~eople of the Province of La Union, be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies. NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMXTA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Monday, March 2, 2009, as special (non-workiqg) day in the Province of La Union.
