BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES

[ Proclamation No. 1730, April 24, 1978 ]

DECLARING APRIL 25, 1978, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF AKLAN.

WHEREAS, the 22nd anniversary of the creation of the province of Aklan falls on April 25, 1978; and

WHEREAS, the people of said province be afforded the opportunity to commemorate with fitting ceremonies this milestone in their province’s history;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare April 25, 1978, as a special public holiday in the province of Aklan.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 24th day of April, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and seventy-eight.
