[ Proclamation No. 1733, May 16, 1978 ]

DECLARING FRIDAY, MAY 19, 1978, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF PANGASINAN.

WHEREAS, Friday, May 19, 1978 marks the 50th anniversary of the creation of the Diocese of Pangasinan; and

WHEREAS, the residents of Pangasinan should be afforded the opportunity to commemorate the event with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Friday, May 19, 1978, as a special public holiday in the Province of Pangasinan.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 16th day of May, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and seventy-eight.
