MALACANANG MANILA MFfJ ( PROCLAMATION NO. .!.12 DECLARING THE THIRD WEEK OF MAY OF EVERY YEAR AS "NATIONAL PUBLIC MARKET WEEK" WHEREAS, the Department of the Interior and Local Government, through its Public Market Development Program Office, is embarking on a Public Market Program to rationalize market development in thecountry; and WHEREAS, due r'ecognition should be accorded to the vital role of public markets in the development of rural and urban economies. NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMO), President of the Republicof the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the Third Week of May of Every Year as "National Public Market Week". The Department of the Interior and Local Government shall be the lead implementing agency of this Proclamation.
