PROCLAMATION NC. 1844

DECLARING MONDAY, AUGUST 10, 2009 AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF GUMACA, PROVINCE OF QUEZON

WHEREAS, Monday, August 10, 2009 marks the commemoration of Lorenzo M. Tafiada Day in the Municipality of Gumaca, Province of Quezon;

WHEREAS, Lorenzo M. Tafiada, Sr. is regarded and recognized as a hero in his incessant. fight to maintain democracy in the country;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Gumaca, Province of Quezon, be given full opportunity to~celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Monday, August 10, 2009 as special (non-working) day in the Municipality of Gumaca, Province of Quezon.
