PROCLAMATION NO. 105

DECLARING THE LAST WEEK OF JUNE OF EVERY YEAR

AS "NATIONAL ORGAN AND BLOOD DONATION AWARENESS WEEK"

WHEREAS, the advancement in medical science has

‘institutionalized organ transplantation as an invaluable procedure in surgical treatment;

WHEREAS, there is

a need to encourage organ and blood donation and to increase public

awareness of the ,need for such donations;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL v. RAMOS, Philippines, by virtue of the declare the last we

Blood Donation Awareness Week".

; This Supersedes Proclamation No. 569, declaring the month of

Donation Awareness Month",

dated May 17, 1990, June of every year as "National Organ

: The Department of Heaith shall be the lead agency in the implementation of this Proclamation.
