[ Proclamation No. 1865, June 13, 1979 ]

DECLARING TUESDAY, JUNE 19, 1979, AS SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN BENGUET.

WHEREAS, Tuesday, June 19, 1979, marks the anniversary of the creation of the Province of Benguet; and

WHEREAS, the residents of Benguet should be afforded the opportunity to commemorate the event with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law do hereby declare June 19, 1979, as a special public holiday in Benguet, but the day will be a regular working and school day.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 13th day of June, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and seventy-nine.
