BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 1897

DECLARING THURSDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2009, AS SPECIAL (NON- WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF KORONADAL, PROVINCE OF SOUTH COTABATO

WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 8803 dated August 16, 2000, provided for the conversion of the Municipality of Koronadal into a component city to be known as the City of Koronadal and was ratified on October 8, 2000;

WHEREAS, Thursday, October 8, 2009 marks the 9" Charter Day anniversary of the City of Koronadal, Province of South Cotabato;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Koronadal, Province of South Cotabato, be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R, ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby

declare Thursday, October 8, 2009, as special (non-working) day in the City of Koronadal, Province of South Cotabato.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
