DECLARING FEBRUARY, 1988 AS THE BUY PRHILIPPINE-MADE PRODUCTS MONTH

WHEREAS, many Filipino producers anc manufacturers make products that are of comparable quality,and which are priced competitively with, their imported counterparts;

WHEREAS, these producers and manufacturers generate _jebds for Filipinos and conserve our foreign exchange;

WHEREAS, there is however. limitec awareness of these quality Philippine-made products;

WHEREAS, there is furthermore a prejudice existing against things losel;

• WHEREAS. it is therefore necessery toe increase the awere- ness of the public of things locally manufactured. give due recognition to entrepreneurs and companies that preduce items Filipinos can be proud of,and motivat businessmen Co strive for even greater excellence in the quality ci their procucts;

Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, de hereby declare February,1988 es the "Buy Philippine—Madce Pracucts Month!'.
