[; q 1 MALACANANfJ Manila BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. ~1' DECLARING THE FOURTH WEEK OF JULY OF EVERY YEAR AS DIABETES AWARENESS WEEK WHEREAS, the Philippine Center for Diabetes EducationFoundation, Inc., is an organization dedicated to helping individuals suffering from diabetes and its complications; WHEREAS, the Foundatton has established a DiabetesCenter where they teach health care professionals aboutdiabetes; WHEREAS, the FoundationDiabetes Centers in all thecountry; will ultimately establish far-flung barangays of the WHEREAS, there is a need to educate the people on this dreaded disease; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the fourth week of July of every year as Diabetes Awareness Week.
